Dzaan's Tale

• Dzaan, temporary library, reported the findings of his research, as detailed below.
• Zhentarim hierarchy typically has one person at the top in a region as a kind of head honcho, and then lieutenants in every town. Likely Zhentrarim has replicated that structure here. In determining whether he is the Don or a lieutenant, the critical thing seems to be that lieutenants come to see the Don and nice vice versa. So you can probably conclude that if that is happening, he is at the top for the region and overseen by someone in Luskan. Naerth Maxildannar's birth is recorded in Targos, so he is a local. His parents died when he was a teenager.
• There isn't much record in the local papers and journals about Naerth until he becomes Speaker in Targos a couple of years ago. He could have left and returned. He is known to be tight with Skath, the leader of the Targos militia.
• There is much literature about Auril. It is believed that while Auril is immortal. Iskra, a large bird-monster, helps her maintain the Everlasting Rhime. Some believe she rides it, though this has never been witnessed. Iskra is believed to be roc, and therefore mortal. At least two forms, ten-foot tall women and seven-foot tall bipedal owl. Some gods have three or four forms. Some people say she can take human form. She is believed to reside on the island of Solstice in the Sea of Moving Ice. It is a floating island of ice that moves around.
• Agents from Easthaven served a warrant for arrest on Dzaan, and the Crew opted not to interfere. Sahnar was appointed temporary librarian.

Caer Konig

• The Crew met with Garn the Hammer at Nimsy's House. Suggested they head to Caer Konig to learn more about the Duergar threat. He agreed to make some half-plate armor, a shortsword, and some claws, and offered an additional discount up to 50% on his special stock.
• The Crew met Trovus, the Speaker of Caer Konig, who told them of the thefts from Caer Konig and introduced them to the sisters who run 06-caer-konig#The Northern Light, whose lantern was stolen.
• The Crew rented some dogs and a sled and hired Jartha Farzassh as a guide to track the Duergar. They followed tracks into a blizzard and found some kobolds taking shelter in an igloo. Hot-headed Bragnar started a fight and the Crew ended up slaughtering the kobolds.

The Outpost

-The Crew discovered a duergar outpost and snuck up on and interrogated one of the guards.
